Artistic Director
Kathy Welch
Dr. Welch has studied Kabuki for over ten years at the University of Hawaii
and in Japan. She earned her doctorate degree in Asian Theatre under the
renowned kabuki scholar and Japanese "order of the Rising Sun" recipient
Dr. James R.Brandon. She lived in Japan for 2 1/2 years studying traditional
dance, shamisen, koto, tea ceremony and studying kabuki theare at the Kabuki,
Minami and National Theatres. She studied kabuki under the Living National
Treasure, Nakumura Matagoro and kabuki dance for six years under
Onoe Kikunobu. She has performed in two full-length English language kabuki
plays and countless scenes. In 1995 she played the female lead in Sukerouku at
the University of Hawaii. Kathy's experience with Asian theatre forms also
also includes Beijing opera, Balinese Kecak, Kyogen, and Bunraku.
In addition to her intensive Asian theatre study, Kathy has been involved in
all aspects of theatre including directing acting, teaching, stage management,
set, light and sound designs, publicity, box office management and production.

Teaching Artists
David DeBlieck
Earned an MFA in Dance from the University of Hawaii.
He was a principal dancer with Ionia Pear Dance Theatre
of Honolulu from 1994-2001 and is an Artistic Associate at
Wicked Cricket Dance Theatre of Austin Texas.
Virginia Haggart
Earned an MFA in Education from the University of Utah.
She has been a Green T productions' company member since 1999.
Virginia portrayed the role of Medea in Green T Productions' Medea
Robert Skafte
Company member of Ballet of the Dolls since 1995. He
studied with the American School of Ballet in NYC and has performed
with the Los Angeles Ballet. Robert has been studying and practicing yoga
for over 10 years
