A Thousand Cranes

Based on the award-winning book, “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes,” “A Thousand Cranes” is the true and poignant story of Sadako Sasaki, a young victim of the Hiroshima atomic bomb.  Diagnosed with radiation sickness, twelve-year-old Sadako prays for world peace as she folds one-thousand paper cranes.

This production is back by popular demand after it’s successful 2017 run at the Old Gem and in St. Paul.
“…performers take us through these images with a calm grace…extremely creative…” - Hailey Colwell, MN Playlist

“…its symbolism, ceremony, and use of puppets, music, dance and shadow are a great (and gentle) entry for the children in the audience…” - Matthew Everett, SWFringeGeek Blogspot
